Casa Grande Date: Monday, July 4th Time of Fireworks: About 9 pm Cost of Admission: Admission to the sportsplex is free. The pool will offer discounted rates and special hours. The city has teamed up with the Salt River Project to sponsor a day full of activities. Palm Island Family Aquatic Center 1115 N. Brown Avenue., will operate special holiday hours and rates. It will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM Admission to the pool on the holiday is 50 cents for children and $1 for adults. Pool staff will host games and contests throughout the day. In the evening activities are planned from 6:30 to 10 PM at Paul Mason Sportsplex, 252 N. Pinal Avenue. City Recreation Division staffers will host relay races, contests, and other fun, free activities. Arizona City

Time of Fireworks: About 9 PM

Cost of Admission: Free

The Arizona City Fire District Association will host an Independence Day celebration on Sunday from 6 to 9:30 PM with food vendors, face painters, and a dunk tank at the Arizona City Golf Club, 13939 S. Cleator Road. The event will take place rain or shine.


Eloy

Date: Monday, July 4th

Time of Fireworks: After sundown

Cost of Admission: Free

The Eloy Aquatics Center will offer free swimming from noon until 5 PM on the Fourth of July

Evening activities at Jones Park are from 6 to 8 PM. Events include water slides, games, music, raffles, and other festivities. Fireworks begin after sundown. For more information, call 466.7351.


Coolidge

Date: Monday, July 4th

Time of Fireworks: 8:30 PM

Cost of Admission: Free

The Coolidge Parks and Recreation Department plans a whole day of fun activities on the Fourth of July.

The celebration begins at the city pool from noon until 5 PM with games and activities for all ages. Kids can take part in a soda dive at 1 PM; money dive at 2 PM; best belly flop competition at 3 PM; and best trick competition at 4 PM. The best belly flop and best trick completion feature cash prizes.

Beginning at 6 PM, activities at the Kenilworth Sports Complex include arts and crafts, bouncers, food sales, free watermelon, games, pictures, and a DJ.

Fireworks begin at 8:30 PM.


Florence

Date: Monday, July 4th

Time of Fireworks: Evening

Cost of Admission: Free admission to the park, but some tournaments have a team fee

Independence Day fun in Florence begins with special operating hours for the aquatic center, which will be open from noon to 5 PM. Activities at Heritage Park, 600 N. Main Street, will be held from 3 to 9 PM. The event features free activities, a live band, inflatable play structures, food vendors, and team competitions that include a mud volleyball tournament, a horseshoe tournament, and a cornhole tournament.

Activities are free, but a team fee of $20 will be charged for the horseshoe and cornhole tournaments. The team fee for the mud volleyball tournament is $75.


Maricopa

Date: Monday, July 4th

Time of Fireworks: About 9 PM

Cost of Admission: Free, but some activities have a fee

Copper Sky Regional Park, 44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will be the setting for Maricopa’s Fourth of July celebration. The family-friendly holiday event will be held in the park from 6 to 10 PM and includes live entertainment, games and activities, food vendors, and fireworks.

A kids water zone will feature wet and dry inflatable water slides, bouncers, and play structures for children ages 3 and older. Cost to play on the inflatable structures is $5 cash.

Parking decals and wristbands for unlimited play on the inflatable structures may be purchased at the Copper Sky Multi-Gen lobby from 5 to 7 on July 2nd and 3rd.

The event opens at 6 PM with DJ music and entertainment. At 6:35 PM, Lelea and 3 Nations will take stage followed by community performances by ATA Karate and Alexandra Diaz. The headline performer, Quantum, plays from 7:30 to 9 PM.

A patriotic celebration with remarks by the mayor and council and recognition of veterans begins at 9 PM. It includes presentation of colors by the honor guard, Pledge of Allegiance led by Miss City of Maricopa and Miss City of Maricopa’s Outstanding teen, national anthem by Quantum and a fireworks display to follow.
